The data to enter in the software CRANKSHAFT BALANCE DESIGN to perform the analysis are simply the geometry of the crankshaft and the masses of the moving elements.
With regard the geometry of the crankshaft you must place
the dimensions shown in the figure, or by simple geometric reliefs if the
crankshaft is already existing, or by setting the
dimensions of the crankshaft that you'll want to study in advance.
In addition to these data you must enter the dimensions and the positions of the counterweights, and
of the eventual lightening holes in the crankshaft.
For the masses of the moving parts you must simply weigh the elements of slider crank (piston pin and snap rings, piston and rings, small-end and
big-end of the connecting rod)
