In addition to the static calculation, the software Suspension Design
allows to see how is the behavior of the motorbike in the main phases of
driving. In the first place it is possible to analyze the acceleration
phase. |
A classic acceleration is simulated, starting from the
maximum acceleration possible with the longitudinal grip
that is inserted, and which decreases in the duration.
The initial speed is also set to take into account the
aerodynamic and friction forces. |
|
|
Entering the set-up suspension and transmission data (to calculate the
effect of the chain force), the software calculates the behavior of the
suspensions and the consequent balance that the motorbike has in the
simulated acceleration. |
|
|
In addition to the motion preview, the software shows the graphs of the
fork and shock operation during the acceleration, and as a consequence
change the weight distribution and the center of gravity. This is very
useful to see how different set-ups affect the motion of the motorbike
and then evaluate which setting can best respond to the requirements
that track and the rider need. |
