Regarding the balance you can for first choose the percentage of balance that you want for reciprocating masses , moreover is possible choose the number, the thickness and the material of the counterweight that the software will calculate. In addition to this you can choose whether the counterweights must be positioned so as to generate the minimum or the maximum inertia on the crankshaft. Regarding the inertia of the crankshaft it is possible choose whether to make interventions to reduce it, both for increase it. The software Crankshaft Balance Design allows five possibility of calculation, in fact it can calculate automatically (auto) lightening interventions through hollows or holes in order to minimize the inertia, and this can happen with lightening only in the upper part of the cheek (auto-up), or on all the cheek (auto-full), and interventions of weighting through the realization of holes filled with material at high density.
