for the presentation

Two Stroke Simulator Simulation is fundamental in the development of a 2-stroke engine. There are various simulation programs available on the market, from the more sophisticated ones, which are often very complex and expensive, to the simpler ones, which however, although not very easy to use, are not very precise. For this reason, thanks to over 20 years of experience in simulation, we wanted to create a product which on the one hand was very easy to use, and on the other provided consistent results to carry out a first important step of optimizing the ports (dimensions and timing), and the geometry of the exhaust muffler

How it works?

The purpose of the software Two Stroke Simulator is to give to technicians, mechanics, and tuners a tool that helps them to develop the 2-stroke engine in the desired direction. As we know, the 2-stroke engine, if on the one hand it is very simple from a construction point of view, is very complex from a fluid-dynamic point of view, therefore when you want to carry out interventions to improve the performance of the engine, proceeding by trial and error often does not lead to the desired results. Over the years, development aid formulas have been developed, after when the level of the engines is grew, it became essential to use simulation software. On the market you can find very complex and expensive programs, which require high skills to use them, and more accessible programs, which however often doesn't combine simplicity and precision.

With Two Stroke Simulator we've wanted to create a product that on the one hand was very easy to use, and on the other provided consistent results to carry out a first important step of optimizing the ports (dimensions and timing) and the geometry of the exhaust muffler.

This has been possible by setting in the software predefined models for scavenging and combustion, and focusing the attention on the thermo-fluid dynamic calculation of the engine. In fact, scavenging and combustion are two very difficult aspects to simulate, and even with the most sophisticated calculation models, ofter are necessary experimental tests to calibrate the models as best as possible, therefore the complexity of the program would have increased considerably, without but be sure of being able to obtain consistent indications for these areas too.

This choice allows you to have a simulation program that on the one hand requires very little data to carry out the calculation, and on the other allows you to obtain those fundamental results to make all the evaluations useful for understanding how to modify the timing, the dimensions of the ports, and the geometry of the exhaust muffler, to improve the torque and power curves in the desired direction.

Input Data for 2 Stroke Engine Simulation - Two Stroke Simulator by NT-Project

In summary, the use is very simple, you must insert into the software the geometric characteristics of the engine and of its components and carry out the simulation calculation. At the end the software will directly show the torque and power curves that the engine can theoretically provide with the characteristics entered.

This will be the reference from which to start to test the effect that can have on the performance the modifications that you plan to make to the engine.

Simulation for 2 Stroke Engine Development - Two Stroke Simulator by NT-Project
In fact, you can easily insert into the software the modification that you intend to make, and by carrying out a new simulation, at the end you will directly see the comparison of the torque and power curves, between the initial solution and the modified one, it will therefore be easy to understand whether the modification is successful or not, in the desired direction.

Thanks to the software Two Stroke Simulator, you will therefore have a fundamental tool for preventively testing the modifications to the timing and the dimensions of the ports, and to the geometry of the exhaust muffler, which you intend to make to the engine. It will therefore be easy for you to identify the modifications of development on which to proceed to improve the engine performance in the desired direction.

In the presentation you can see again more in the details the features of the software.
