SET-UP TYRE
to get the best performance a fundamental factor is
get the maximum from the tires, in fact only having the
better grip you can be fast in braking, corner, and
acceleration. An aspect that significantly influences
the tire efficiency is the pressure, but it is often neglects, or
it is managed with more or less effective methods, instead
thanks to the software SET-UP Tyre you can use the acquired data
from your acquisition to optimally manage the pressure
of the tires in function of the track, of the weather conditions, of the grip,
and of the number of laps that you must perform, to have the best
performance both on qualify, both on race. |

How it works?
|
The factors that influence the performance of a tire on the track
are basically the pressure, and the temperature. The pressure
allows you to have the best footprint on the ground based on the load that
acts on the wheel, while the temperature brings the compound into the
conditions to offer more or less adherence.
Intervene on pressure is not easy because according to
the characteristics of the track, and to the grip, change the loads on
wheels, and therefore the pressure should be managed accordingly,
moreover with the passing of the laps the tire temperature increases and
as a consequence changes the pressure which had initially been
set, making work the tire differently.
From this small introduction it is clear that without specific data
of loads on wheels, weather conditions, etc. it is not possible
to find the really best pressures for the four
wheels, and the empirical methods that are used, never lead to the best
compromised, instead thanks to the software SET-UP Tyre you can find
the pressures that allow you to get the optimal behavior, not just on the single lap (qualify), but also to be
faster during all the race.
The software SET-UP Tyre takes advantage of the data that you acquire with
acquisition system, and with an accurate calculation identifies the
optimal pressure for the four tires on that track, and in those
grip conditions, moreover entering the weather conditions calculates how manage the pressure in function of the number of laps that you must do
(qualify or race).
The use of the software is very easy, in fact you must enter the
data necessary to characterize the chassis, the car, the engine, and
the tyres. These are easily detectable data, or that can be
completed with the data provided as example appropriate to the
category.
The software also contains a functionality that allows you to easily
calculate the center of gravity position of the car.
At this point you can enter your chassis setup for a more accurate calculation.
In fact the software also takes into account in the calculation
the settings of camber, caster, toe, width and height, which you have for your chassis, and also
of the axle, of eventuals bars and of the braking distribution adjustment.
After entering this data you simply need to import the file acquired in the previous session. |

The
software immediately recognizes your acquisition
(AIM, UNIPRO, ALFANO, 2D, RKS, STARLANE, COSWORTH, GET) and
shows you the laps time that you have made, in this way
you can possibly eliminate the laps with
too many driving errors. Furthermore the software shows you the
channels that he recognized, giving you the chance to
easily select channels with differents names respect to those
standard.
At this point entering the weather conditions and the number of laps
of the run you will have to perform the software SET-UP Tyre in a few moments
calculate the optimal pressure that you have to use for
four formula tires to have the best performance. |

Results |
In function of the number of laps that you've entered the
software SET-UP Tyre calculates the pressures that
you must use if you want to have optimal performance
in the first laps (first lap), if you want to have it instead
at the end of the run (last lap), or averagely on all
the session. You can then make the choice based
to the type of session (qualify or race), or in
based on the driver, if you know that it is explosive
in the early laps, or if instead takes a bit to
find the rhythm, you can make the right choice. |

In case the driver feels problems of
understeer, or oversteer, the software SET-UP Tyre,
also shows you how to act on the pressures for
reduce the problem, and improve the feeling of the
driver to have a better performance. |
|
In addition to these data that are the most important, the software
it also shows how change the temperatures lap by lap, and during the lap, in this way you can do
further evaluations on the choices to be made, or even
show the driver the points of the track where the tires temperature decreases, and therefore to provide less
grip, or where on the contrary it rises too much, and then forcing
too much you risk to wear it prematurely.
