How it works?

SET-UP REED VALVE is a software that entering the characteristics of reed valve, manifold and carburetor in less than a minute allows you to see how engines works in intake period. With this support you can then make appropriate changes and to find the set up more effective to optimize the engine performance to suit your needs.

The intake efficiency is determined mainly by two factors acting simultaneously and influence each other themselves, the dynamic behavior of the reed petals and the trend fluid dynamics of pressure waves in the intake duct and in the crankcase.

These are phenomena extremely complex that NT-Project has studied in detail and modeled through refined algorithms. The calculations were verified by comparison with data of intake-carter pressure and the tip displacement of the reed petals measured experimentally on a 2-stroke engine with reed valve induction and reported in the literature.



As you can see from the graphs shown, the calculation models used in SET-UP Reed Valve are able to fully take the phenomena involved and therefore provide extremely reliable results.

Results

INTAKE EFFICIENCY	The intake efficiency is strongly influenced by the characteristics of the reed valve, of the petals, of the carburetor and of the manifold, and even small changes can lead to significant variations. With SET-UP REED VALVE is therefore possible to treat the details of tuning for optimizing the performance for the characteristics of a specific track or for a driver, getting those benefits that are important in race racing to make the difference and to win. BACKFLOW FROM INTAKE This value provides a clear indication of the response time of the reed petals to the pressure conditions upstream and downstream of the reed valve
MEDIUM and MAXIMUN STRESS of REED PETALS these values are essential to make comparisons of reliability to be one solution to another so you can also get information on the duration and strength of the choices made.
